Segal McCambridge Singer & Mahoney To Host Ethics Training on Technology
ILTA Event Encourages Attorneys to Become Tech Savvy
Segal McCambridge Singer & Mahoney, Ltd. is hosting an ILTA Roadshow course titled “Uphold Your Firm’s Professional Duty to be Tech Savvy” on October 17 from 12:00-1:30 p.m., led by Doug Striker of Savvy Training & Consulting. New York-based attorneys are encouraged to register for the event, as well as law firm technology professionals. The American Bar Association (ABA) recently adopted a change to the Model Rules of Professional Conduct to clarify that lawyers have a duty to be competent not only in the law and its practice but also in technology. The October 17 training will outline a step-by-step process for creating a learning culture in law firms. The event will cover topics on how to integrate a culture of technology in law firms, including how to:
Get buy-in from management
Form a technology committee
Administer individualized assessments
Increase attorney participation
Create customized training, and
Offer certifications or other competitive incentives.
“If your firm hopes for continued success in the future, it is imperative to create a learning culture today,” said Doug Striker of Savvy Training & Consulting. “Our goal with this training is to prepare you to achieve the tech learning goals needed for long-term firm success.” Segal McCambridge is located at: 850 Third Avenue Suite 1100 New York, NY 10022
